Swiss Navy Flavored Lube
I was sent five different flavored water based lubricants from Our Naughty Secrets for review. The lubes I was sent are made by Swiss Navy, I had honestly never heard of the company who makes these lubes before so it was an all new experience for me. I was sent the following lube flavors: Pina Colada,Strawberry Kiwi,Cooling Peppermint,Wild Cherry and Passion Fruit. Some of the flavors didn't seem like ones I would like or even use but I figured why not taste them an see if I would like them or not.
Our Naughty Secrets carries all 5 flavors an they are available in 20ml bottles. You get a small amount but a little really can go a long way.
Use:
The purpose or use behind lube is to be used during penetration to help you out if you aren't able to produce your own natural lubricant. Water based lubes can be used with any toy out there on the market and it is my lube of choice. Since 4 out of 5 of the lubes contain Glycerin I can't use them vaginally since I had a bad reaction to products containing Glycerin. If you have Glycerin allergies or sensitivities please use these with caution.
If you are unable to use these vaginally due to the Glycerin in the 4 out of 5 lubes you can use them for oral sex on your partner, that is if they aren't allergic or sensitive to Glycerin themselves.
Texture/Consistency:
Being a water based lubricant the Swiss Navy Flavored Lube is pretty watery, so watery in fact I don't really think it would work out so well as a lube. Will it work to add flavor for oral sex ABSOLUTELY it would. I plan to use them when it comes to giving oral to my partner.
The lube doesn't really run out of the opening that is provided to dispense the lube to the desired area. I will say that it does easily drip out once you open the snap top an flip it upside down. The lube doesn't stay in place well either, it runs and runs fast so be ready to lick it up once you put it in place as it will run all over.
All the lubes I received are clear with no dyes or color so it shouldn't stain your sheets.
Opening/Dispensing:
Below you will see that each bottle of lube you will get has the foil safety seal, if that seal is missing or broken do NOT use. Once you get your Swiss Navy Flavored Lubes you will want to unscrew the top an remove the tamper safety seal. After you remove the seal make sure to screw your cap back on tightly to avoid any leaks. As you can see it has a simple flip top opening, which makes it easy to dispense your lube.
To dispense your Swiss Navy Lube simply flip the top open an turn the bottle upside down. There is no need to squeeze as the lube drips out very easily on its own.
Packaging:
Each bottle is a little different when it comes to design of the packaging. The bottles are brightly colored with the name of the lube manufacture,the flavor of the lube,states that it is a water based lubricant and that it is a 20ml bottle. All the bottles are clear in color so you can see the "inside" design. The design on the inside varies on the flavor of lube.
On the back of each bottle you will find the ingredient list,bar code and other information that you may find helpful. Is this a discreet package? While it doesn't scream "SEX" it isn't discreet as it states that it is a lubricant and that it is compatible with latex and non latex condoms.
Swiss Navy Lubricants stamps the bottoms of their lubes with an expiration date. From looking at the lubes I received from Our Naughty Secrets have a pretty decent shelf life. I got these about 5 months ago an most don't expire til 2014 and one that expires in 2015.
I don't find the packaging of the Swiss Navy Lubricants distasteful at all. I honestly have no problem "displaying" them in a basket on my headboard with my other oral gels and lubes.
~Now on to the breakdown of each lube and their flavors!!!~
First up we have the Very Wild Cherry a lot of the time you get "fake" tasting stuff when you get oral gels or flavored lubes, with these lubes though I didn't have that issue.
Smell: Upon opening the Very Wild Cherry and putting my nose to it you can surly smell CHERRIES!!! It has a strong cherry aroma but isn't too overpowering in fact I actually like the smell of it. I am not big on cherry flavored or scented things so that says a lot when it comes to the scent of it.
Taste: What does it taste like? Does it taste like cherries? I am here to tell you that YES it has a sweet cherry taste to it. It isn't all that strong but it isn't a light taste either. To me it taste like a cherry vodka I have had before. I do get a slight aftertaste after tasting or using this flavor but it isn't all that bad, tastes kinda like I drank a Diet Cherry Pepsi.
Ingredients: The ingredients list is not all that long, make sure you read to make sure you won't have an allergic reaction to the ingredients.
Very Wild Cherry:Water,Glycerin,Cellouse Gum,Propylene Glycol,Sodium Benzoate,Sodium Saccharin,Potassium Acesulfame,DiazolidinylUrea,Flavor (aroma),Citric Acid,Peg 8, Disodium EDIA,Potassium Sorbate.
Packaging:The Very Wild Cherry comes in a clear bottle with Swiss Navy flavored water based lubricant printed on the front. The colors are blue,white and red. The picture on the back panel inside the bottle is white with a cherry on it.
Pina Colada flavored anything has always been a favorite of mine since I love coconut and pineapple.
Smell: The Pina Colada flavor has a wonderful light scent of a blend of pineapple and coconut. The scent is so light you can barely smell it unless you take in deep breaths.
Taste: Pina Colada tastes like a pina colada, you can definitely taste the coconut in this one which for some could be a plus and others could be a negative. I don't really taste the pineapple at all. Aftertaste? Yes this one has a slight aftertaste as well like you have just drank a diet drink, I have a feeling that will be a trend as I move on with the other flavors.
Ingredients: Water,Glycerin,Cellouse Gum,Propylene Glycol,Sodium Benzoate,Sodium Saccharin,Potassium Acesulfame,DiazolidinylUrea,Flavor (aroma),Citric Acid,Peg 8, Disodium EDIA,Potassium Sorbate.
Packaging:The Pina Colada comes in the same bottle as the other lubes in this line. However, it is yellow :) The inside design on the back panel has a picture of a coconut cut in half and a whole pineapple.
Passion Fruit is not a passion of mine, I have only tried one other item that had this flavor an I quickly passed it along to a friend. I will and have however, took one for the team when it came to this flavored lube.
Smell:The Passion Fruit has a scent that reminds me of the Tropical Flavored Fruit Rollups that is really the only thing that comes to mind when I smelt it. A light scent as well not very strong so it isn't going to be overpowering at all.
Taste: The Passion Fruit to me has a taste I just can't really describe other then NASTY I won't be using this one at all for anything. I will pass it along to a new home if someone I know wants it.

Packaging:Only difference this one has from the other ones is the simple fact that the top and writing is purple. On the back panel there is a piece of fruit.
Up next we have Strawberry Kiwi I am a big fan of strawberry kiwi flavored juices, so I had major high hopes for this flavor. Read on to see if it met my expectations.
Smell: The Strawberry Kiwi flavor has a wonderful strawberry scent to it, light but enough to be able to smell it just by running the bottle under your nose. I love the way it smells.
Taste: Honestly this lived up to my hopes that I had for it!!! The Strawberry Kiwi has a wonderful strawberry taste to it. In fact it reminds me of strawberry flavored candies and gum from my childhood. It is a little sweet but not too sweet. I can say honestly as well that I don't experience an aftertaste with the Strawberry Kiwi flavor at all.
Ingredients: Water,Glycerin,Cellouse Gum,Propylene Glycol,Sodium Benzoate,Sodium Saccharin,Potassium Acesulfame,DiazolidinylUrea,Flavor (aroma),Citric Acid,Peg 8, Disodium EDIA,Potassium Sorbate.
Packaging:Follows all the other bottles with an exception of the pink and green lettering on the front of the bottle as well as the pink lid. On the back inside panel you can see a strawberry and a kiwi.
The Cooling Peppermint is the only one that is completely different from the other lubes listed above, this one doesn't contain Glycerin. That is a plus for me.
Smell: If you love the smell of peppermints then you will love the smell of the Cooling Peppermint flavor. You can smell the peppermint very clearly two things come to mind when I smell this one is of course a red & white peppermint you get from restaurants after dinner and oddly enough it reminds me of the Tylenol Cold & Flu meds I take when I am sick. None the less it has a true peppermint smell.
Taste:I find that the taste of the Cooling Peppermint to also remind me of that same Tylenol Cold & Flu medicine. It isn't really a bad flavor but it isn't something I would want to use on a nightly or weekly basis. Since this has peppermint in it there is a tingle feeling left behind on the tongue. There is a slight aftertaste as if you had something to drink that was sugar free.
Ingredients: Water,Cellouse Gum,Propylene Glycol,Sodium Benzoate,Sodium Saccharin,Potassium Acesulfame,DiazolidinylUrea,Flavor (aroma),Citric Acid,Peg 8, Disodium EDIA,Potassium Sorbate.
Over all I think I am pleased with the Swiss Navy Flavored Lubricant. I am not sure though that when I run out that I would go right out and purchase it. I would try to find something as close to the flavors I liked to replace it. I love that it is paraben free but hate that 4/5 of the lubes contain Glycerin. That is a MAJOR turn off for me when it comes to lubricants as I am very sensitive to parabens and glycerin.
